A-Ha! Play Space Shuts its Doors

Our NYC Dads Group was supposed to meet today for our weekly get together at the Aha Learning playspace on the Upper East Side. They cancelled on us late last night so we came up with a better plan - to meet in Central Park by the Great Lawn (more on this awesome experience tomorrow).

Several dads inquired about the reason why Aha Learning cancelled on us because it is a place that we had a fun meet up experience in the past. Here is our answer via an email from the company...

Dear Customers,

It is with deep regret that we inform you that A-Ha! has, as of today, been forced to close its doors and is going out of business. We were hopeful that we could renegotiate our lease agreement, but unfortunately our landlord decided not to engage in a dialogue and instead have evicted us from the Center. We apologize for the sudden nature of this eviction as we thought the process of eviction would be held off until after we completed a good faith negotiation. This was not the case.We will do our best to unravel this situation. Since our operations have been disrupted we apologize in advance that this process and the communication about it will not be as efficient and effective as we all would like but please bear with us as we terminate the business.

Best,

A-Ha! Learning

We will have to find another Upper East Side playspace for a future meet up event. Any ideas?
