New York Family Magazine has a weekly "Parenting With Sense and Sensibility" section and for this week July 8 - 14, they had a section devoted to dads. The brief section that they published is below. If you have a few minutes, definitely check out Chuck Pagano's entertaining cover story "Dadhattan" (mentioned below) from the New York Press.
"What Fathers Know: As fathers have become more involved in their children's lives, it's no surprise that they're also contributing insightful articles and books about parenting. Here are a few of our latest favorites from the daddy front: First up is an interview with writer Cameron Stracher, who cut back on work in order to cook dinner for his family five nights a week for a year, and then wrote a book about it. We're also loving the New York Press' recent cover story, "Dadhattan"--Chuck Pagano's humorous take on how the unemployment rate is affecting the island's stay-at-home-dad population. Dads are making a splash in the book world as well--check your local bookstore for journalist and author Jeremy Adam Smith's "The Daddy Shift." Smith examines the phenomenon of fathers spending more time at home and predicts where this new trend might be steering America's families. (NOTE: Smith will be discussing his book in two weeks at 92YTribeca! Click here for details.) Finally, we asked editor Ben George to share ten things he learned about fatherhood while working on "The Book of Dads: Essays on the Joys, Perils and Humiliations of Fatherhood."

All great recommendations. I really enjoyed the "Dadhattan" article. It brought back memories from when I started taking care of my kids 5 years ago, and how much the world of stay at home dads have changed since.
