The latest guest blog post by Matt S...
Father's Day is not too far off (okay it is, but it's a day I really look forward to), and the folks at Evolution of Dad have a couple of great ways to honor the fathers in your life in their upcoming documentary, scheduled to be released on Father's Day.
1. Add the fathers in your life to the Dad Honor Roll. Very Important Dads (VIDs) will be listed at the end of the documentary. Submissions can be sent to info@evolutionofdad.com and should include both the name of the V.I.D. and the name of the person submitting. Submissions are due February 21, 2010.
2. Submit a picture of the fathers in your life. Selected pictures will be included in the introduction to the movie. All photos should be sent as high-res JPEGs to evodadpics@gmail.com. All submissions need to be accompanied by a material release form. Print the form, sign it, and then either scan it and return it in the email with the photo or fax it to (201) 389-6243. Submissions are due February 21, 2010. All pictures are welcome, but they are especially interested in older pictures, and in the spirit of getting people motivated, check out the picture that I submitted (gotta love the 70s).
3. Lastly, if you want to be a movie star...Good luck with that . . . in the meantime, here's an opportunity to be in the Evolution of Dad documentary:
Here's the message from the director, Dana Glazer: The Evolution of Dad film project is nearly done but we need to film the final shot of the film: a giant wall of dads and their kids - and we want you to be part of it. We'll be meeting at the front of the Ridge School in Ridgewood, NJ at 10:30am on Saturday, February 27th. Ridgewood is easily reached by car or on the North Bergen line.A map of the location is here. If you plan to attend, please contact us at dana@ evolutionofdad.com so we know to expect you.
