Bar Hopping With Babies

This classic segment from NBC New York is aptly titled, Bar Hopping With Babies. This segment picks up where the CNN piece about babies in bars causing a stir in Brooklyn (published a few weeks ago) left off.

The scene: a talk show host with "gutsy" guest Matt Gross, founder of Dadwagon.com & psychologist, Dr. Robi Ludwig. Opening question by the show-host: "So (Matt), you take your kid to the bar, right?" Gross jokingly answers, "absolutely, as much as I can!" Gross lays out his hard & fast ground rules: 1. only takes his child to the bar in the late afternoon after work 2. leaves before his child's bedtime (around 7pm) and 3. only hits bars that are not crowded.

What ensues as this segment continues can best be described as good water cooler fodder. An animated argument breaks out between Gross (pro: children in bars) & the psychologist (anti-children in bars) over this current controversy. This humorous argument includes lots of head shaking, eye-rolling, and getting their two cents in.

Whatever your position is on this topic of bringing your baby to bars...you will agree that this is a truly entertaining segment!
