New Dad Boot Camps

The NYC Dads Group is a community of dads that believe that fathers can be just as nurturing (or distant), capable (or inept), and confident (or scared) as mothers. We also know that when a dad is engaged through pregnancy, birth, and the first weeks of his child's lives, he sets the foundation for a life as an active and involved parenting partner.

With this in mind, we are very proud to partner with Tribeca Parenting, 92nd Street Y, and Boot Camp for New Dads to launch our NYC Dads Group New Dad Boot Camps, an opportunity for expectant and new dads to connect with veteran dads (and their babies) for a frank discussion on the experience of becoming a father. We’ll talk about the opportunities and rewards of personally caring for our children as dads demonstrate holding, burping, changing, swaddling, and comforting crying babies.

We’ll also discuss new parent-related issues, including:

• Developing a bond a with your new baby

• Being supportive of your baby’s mom

• Navigating work as a new parent

• Developing a parenting partnership

• Creating a baby-safe environment

• Managing relatives

This 3-hour workshop is facilitated by a trained member of the NYC Dads Group. Boot Camps will be held from 10AM to 1PM at the following locations:
